Libraries can be (seriously) fun..!

did you know that?!
when one thinks of the internet, i would guess that google is one of the top things that pop into our mind...but MySpace?? check out this article about how social networks can inform library development...even though the last thing i posted was about how most users do not want the library to be involved in their social networking, this article raises some interesting questions about how the social networking style of the web can bring users and librarians closer together.

I would never have guessed that more blog posting is done in MySpace alone than in all other blogs combined! I also am very intrigued by the author's comment that we can't really call MySpace, Facebook and other social networks "websites" any longer. They have become "environments." I think this is a fair and correct statement and really brings this web phenomenon into a whole new realm of being.
