Our Town by Thorton Wilder, Boy by Roald Dahl, Ulysses and "The Dead" by James Joyce, the poetry of Charles Bukowski, Sharon Olds, and Billy Collins, Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt

Why did you decide to become a librarian?

I originally became interested in the field because I was considering pursuing the school media path. As I learned more about it and spent some time exploring it, I realized that it wasn't for me. But I love books, organization, research, working with people and problem solving. I work at a very small public library now and I really enjoy the atmosphere and the people that I work with. There seem to be so many facets that make up the field, and so many environments to choose from depending on where you're comfortable working. I really like that type of freedom within a career, so we'll see where it leads :-)

LOC or Dewey?

Dewey, because it's what I use at work. But I wrote my thesis in undergrad using LOC, so it also holds a special place in my heart
